Inspired by home paint colour charts, nail polish colours, even the names and shades of paints sold at Games Workshop I asked sixty artists to paint a board in a colour which was significant to them and give it a name. These will be displayed as a giant paint chip chart in Bloc Studios from July 2026. With many thanks to Prosaic Projects for letting me take the lead on this. The responses have been revealing: of people's working methods, thoughts and feelings on colour: a simple proposition has opened up conversations that are both technical and poetic.
