I'm Jenny Sutton and I am a painter and artist based in Sheffield, working from a studio in Portland Works.

I love paint-thin and thick, drips and daubs, carefully worked and freely applied. I love stories too, and intend to hint at narratives or parts of narratives in my work drawn broadly and lightly from my own experiences, walks, wanderings and encounters. I'm no realist but lurk in the liminal spaces between depiction, expression and abstraction. If you linger more than a moment, longer than a screen swipe, when looking at my work,then something magical is happening and that makes me so happy! I often exhibit in Sheffield, and sometimes in other places too. The best place to keep up to date is through instagram @jennysutton99
